Military Helicopter Crashes In Covington County

A military helicopter from Ft. Rucker crashed in a field on Cool Springs Road near the Coffee County line in Covington County, Alabama.

Covington County Sheriff Blake Turman reported that the crash occurred and two pilots from Ft. Rucker and a third person were on board. Fortunately, they weren’t hurt but were taken to a hospital in Dothan for evaluation.

Sheriff Turman stated that it appears the helicopter lost power and crashed. The helicopter is a UH-72 Lakota.
