For twin brothers Chad and James Hampton, a day in a Michigan tree stand is more than a hunt—it’s an act of worship. The pastors, authors and longtime outdoorsmen harvest several deer each season, filling their freezers with venison for their families.
Faith‑focused stewardship
“We know that God’s given us that food to manage and also consume so that we can be what He created us to be,” Chad Hampton told Fox News Digital. The Hamptons, founders of Huntin’ the Truth Ministries and hosts of the outdoor show “Twin Factor,” cite Genesis 1:26 to explain why they view hunters as stewards of God’s creation.
“We’re managing God’s creation that He gave to us,” Chad added, emphasizing that hunting is a responsibility rooted in their Christian faith.
New devotional for hunters
The brothers have turned that belief into a book, 100 Days of Strength for Hunters. The devotional combines Scripture, personal hunting anecdotes, practical applications and prayer, and is short enough to fit in a tree stand. James Hampton says the guide is meant to help outdoorsmen strengthen their relationship with God while they pursue real, responsibly sourced food.
“Everything that we harvest we eat,” James said, noting that many Americans have become disconnected from the origins of their meals as convenience dominates the food supply.
Balancing modern life
Even the Hamptons admit they sometimes turn to fast food amid busy schedules. “Although we love our fast food, we also love the slow‑cooked venison,” Chad remarked, underscoring the value they place on taking time to provide for their families.
They recall a pivotal moment in 2004 when James prayed from a tree stand while his wife battled cancer. That experience helped shape their ministry’s mission to teach others to “hunt for God and His plan for their life.”
Connecting faith, food and the outdoors
The brothers’ message aligns with the broader “Make America Healthy Again” movement, which promotes eating real food and knowing its source. Their approach highlights how Christian faith can inform everyday choices, from the hunt to the dinner table.
