The Miami-Dade Animal Shelter has a goal to find forever homes for 250 animals in celebration of America’s 250th birthday. To achieve this, the shelter is reducing adoption fees to $2.50 from June 20 through July 5. Typically, adoption fees are $35 for cats and $65 for dogs.

Helping Animals in Need

There are currently over 800 animals waiting for forever homes in Miami-Dade. Those interested in adopting can view the available animals, filter by breed and age, and visit the shelter to find their new pet. For those who are not ready to adopt, the shelter also offers foster and Pawventure programs to help care for the animals.
