Miami coach Mario Cristobal agreed to a long-term contract extension on Monday, multiple media outlets reported. Cristobal, a 55-year-old Miami native, is entering the fifth year of a 10-year deal slated to run through 2031.

In Cristobal’s fourth year at the helm, Miami won a school-record 13 games and tied a program mark with seven AP Top 25 victories. In each season under Cristobal, the Hurricanes’ win total has increased, from five in 2022 to seven in 2023, 10 in 2024 and 13 in 2025.
