A Metro Detroit family is pleading for help after their daughter, Beth Ayers of Fenton, was hit by a speedboat on Pontiac Lake while she was out for a swim. The incident occurred a week prior, and she has been in the hospital ever since, with the driver who hit her still at large.
Concern for Her Health
Mick McCanna, Beth’s father, expressed concern for her health, citing her hemoglobin level, lung and liver lacerations, and the possibility of pneumonia. The family is taking it one day at a time as they wait for the results of a CT scan.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a white jet-powered boat or speed boat with a dark accent stripe design in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, the family has launched a GoFundMe page to help with medical bills, which are starting to pile up.
