U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than 57 pounds of methamphetamine at the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry in El Paso, Texas. The drugs had an estimated street value of $521,100, according to CBP.
On June 18, a woman with U.S. citizenship attempted to cross from Mexico, and CBP officers chose her SUV for a second inspection, finding bundles of methamphetamine hidden inside. The SUV and narcotics were confiscated, and federal authorities took the woman into custody.
