One of the top catching prospects in baseball will represent the Cincinnati Reds at the 2026 Major League Baseball All-Star Futures Game. Alfredo Duno was announced as one of three catchers on the National League squad and the lone representative for Cincinnati.

Rated by MLB Pipeline as the Reds’ No. 1 overall prospect, Duno is hitting .260 with a .902 OPS and 16 home runs this season at High-A Dayton. The 20-year-old Duno is the second-highest ranked catching prospect according to MLB Pipeline, behind the St. Louis Cardinals’ Rainiel Rodriguez.
Duno was also a Reds’ representative at the 2025 Futures Game, alongside infielder Sal Stewart, who is now one of the Reds’ top hitters. The Futures Game is an annual exhibition played at the host city of the MLB All-Star Game, showcasing the best talent in the minor leagues. This year’s game will be at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on July 12.
