Lindsay Clancy, a mother from Duxbury, Massachusetts, appeared in court Monday for the last hearing ahead of her murder trial. Clancy is accused of killing her three children in 2023. She has pleaded not guilty in the deaths of 5-year-old Cora Clancy, 3-year-old Dawson Clancy, and 8-month-old Callan Clancy.
Defense and Prosecution Prepare for Trial
Clancy’s defense attorney has said she struggled with postpartum depression and was overmedicated. A week before jury selection is set to begin, the defense and prosecution ironed out the details of the trial. Judge William Sullivan said he wanted to impanel 18 jurors, as Clancy’s team sought, but denied a defense motion to allow other women to testify about their postpartum experiences.
Prosecutors agreed with the judge’s ruling and said they would only present their own witnesses to the jury. Clancy, who is partially paralyzed after jumping out a second-floor window at her home on the same night, will face trial for the deaths of her children.
