Renovation Issues
The president claimed that vandals gashed the pool’s lining, which he said was 300 yards long. However, a CNN crew did not notice any obvious signs of long gashes in the recently installed lining.
Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said the government could prove the damage was caused by vandals, but dodged a question about whether photographs show anyone damaging the pool. The pool was drained after the July Fourth fireworks show, with some fireworks debris still in the water.
