A carjacking incident occurred in the parking lot of a Walmart in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Friday morning. The victim reported being approached by an unknown man who threatened violence if he didn’t give up his vehicle. The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Vishal Gunti, fled the area in the stolen car.
Police issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the stolen vehicle and later spotted it driving on Queen City Avenue. During the arrest, Gunti resisted and was hit with a Taser and bitten by a police K9. He was taken to Eliot Hospital for treatment of the dog bite.
Gunti faces charges including unarmed robbery, reckless conduct, resisting arrest, and two counts of simple assault. The incident is currently under investigation.
