A man was found dead after a shooting in south Oklahoma City near several businesses, police say. The Oklahoma City Police Department was called to the area of Interstate 240 and South Walker Avenue just after 7 p.m. in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said it wasn’t immediately clear who called 911 or how long the man had been dead before they arrived.

Several witnesses were detained near the crime scene, which was located near several commercial buildings just north of I-240. Police said there did not appear to be any risk to the public, and this was believed to be an isolated incident.
