Fountain Mesa Park Fire Contained

A brush fire ignited on Wednesday near Fountain Mesa Park in Fountain, Colorado, just east of Mesa Ridge High School, prompting a rapid response from the Fountain Fire Department (FFD).

The blaze, which measured approximately 50 feet wide and between 200 and 300 feet long, was brought under control within an hour of the initial 5 p.m. call, with no injuries reported, according to the FFD.

The rapid containment of the fire occurred during hot and dry conditions, a situation that had other nearby communities on high fire alert. The initial response involved both first responders and local bystanders, whose assistance was noted as crucial.

Fire investigators were actively working at the scene to determine the exact cause of the brush fire.
