A man who surrendered to Sumter County deputies on Tuesday is accused of shooting at his family members in Wildwood, according to the sheriff’s office. Quamariyontae Dior Harris faces charges including kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated battery, robbery with a firearm, discharging a firearm in a residential area, written threats to kill, two counts of grand theft of a firearm and three counts of aggravated assault with intent to kill.
Harris had multiple outstanding warrants stemming from a violent domestic-related incident involving a stolen firearm and shots fired at family members. He surrendered without incident at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center through the cooperation of his family members, who were communicating with detectives.
Harris was being held in the Sumter County jail on no bond at the time of this report.
