Mall St. Matthews in Louisville, Kentucky, has introduced a paid parking option for its lot. The program, which began on Monday, offers 96 paid parking spots near the food court, accounting for about 2.5% of the total parking spaces.
The first hour of paid parking costs $2.45, and each additional hour costs $2, with a maximum of four hours. A portion of the proceeds, 10%, will be donated to Kosair for Kids. According to a mall spokesperson, this is an optional amenity, and the remaining 3,820 parking spaces are still available for free.
The paid parking program does not affect previously reserved or handicapped spots and is managed by a third-party vendor, 12 Oaks Parking Services.
