New Caney entrepreneurs Greg and Brigette Little launched Lumos in October 2025, adding a sizable family‑entertainment venue to the Valley Ranch Town Center. The 45,000‑square‑foot complex is designed to meet the rapid growth of the area and give residents a local option for recreation, celebrations and social gatherings.
What Lumos Offers
The venue features a mix of attractions aimed at both younger guests and adults. Highlights include laser tag arenas, a full‑size bowling alley, axe‑throwing stations, and a 6,000‑square‑foot gaming arcade. A dedicated space called the Omni Arena provides immersive virtual‑reality experiences, giving visitors a high‑tech option for group fun.
Greg Little, who spent 24 years in sales and marketing at Shell Oil Company before turning to entertainment, says the project is “about family entertainment, social entertainment and adults coming out and having fun together.” He emphasizes that the venue is meant to be a community hub where neighbors can gather, celebrate milestones and simply unwind.
Dining and Private Events
At the heart of Lumos is Embers Grill, a full‑service restaurant and bar equipped with several oversized LED screens for sports viewing. The Little family notes that many patrons become regulars for the steak menu and the lively atmosphere. Private event spaces are available throughout the venue, allowing groups to host birthday parties, corporate outings and other celebrations without leaving the premises.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, the Littles intend to keep the attraction lineup fresh. Greg explains that they will monitor which activities draw the most guests and consider phasing out slower‑performing options. “We will continue to evolve,” he says. “We’ll see which attractions are the favorite ones and which ones are slower, and we’ll start to phase some of those out. We want to keep it fresh for people.”
The couple is also scouting additional locations in the Houston region, mentioning potential sites in “numbers two and three” and even possibilities beyond the immediate metro area. Their expansion goals reflect confidence in the market demand for family‑focused entertainment venues.
Why It Matters to New Caney
In its first year, Lumos has become a gathering place where families can “laugh and have a great time,” according to Greg. He believes the venue contributes to the community’s quality of life by offering a safe, enjoyable environment where residents can “chill and forget about their worries.” The business also adds jobs and supports local suppliers, reinforcing the economic vitality of New Caney as the town continues to grow.
With its blend of active attractions, dining options and event spaces, Lumos exemplifies the type of locally owned enterprise that strengthens both the social fabric and the economy of the region.
