Jackson, WY — The Teton County Clerk’s Office is ready to welcome voters for early voting on Tuesday, Oct. 6. The temporary polling site, located in the Teton County Administration Building at 200 S. Willow Street, will operate Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., until the final day of early voting on Nov. 2.
What voters need to know
Anyone eligible to vote in the 2026 General Election may cast an absentee ballot at this location. Voters must present an acceptable form of identification. The clerk’s office accepts a broad list of IDs, including a Wyoming driver’s license or ID card, a tribal ID card, a U.S. passport, a U.S. military ID, a valid Wyoming concealed firearm permit, a driver’s license or ID from another state, university or community‑college student IDs, public‑school student IDs, and valid Medicare or Medicaid cards.
Early‑voting schedule
The early‑voting window runs from Oct. 6 through Nov. 2, giving residents ample time to vote before Election Day on Nov. 3. The site will be closed on weekends and on federal holidays. On Election Day, voters must go to their designated voting locations; the early‑voting site will not be open.
Election‑day polling locations
On Nov. 3, voters in Teton County will head to one of several permanent polling places, including the Jackson and Alta branches of the Teton County Library, the Teton County/Jackson Community Recreation Center, the historic Old Wilson Schoolhouse Community Center, and the Teton County Weed & Pest building.
Why early voting matters
Early voting provides flexibility for families, seniors, and working adults who may find it difficult to vote on a single day. By spreading out turnout, the county can reduce lines and ensure a smoother, more orderly voting process for everyone.
