Lubbock, known for its abundance of fried chicken options, has lost one of its restaurants. Big Chicken, located at 7411 Milwaukee Ave, has permanently closed its doors after two years of serving the community.
A Message from Big Chicken
According to Everything Lubbock, a statement on the door of the now-closed restaurant expressed gratitude to the community for their support. The statement read: “After serving this incredible community, our Lubbock location is now permanently closed. To every guest who walked through these doors, shared a meal, and made this place feel like home Thank you. Your support meant the world to our team, and the memories we made here will stay with us always.”
While the closure of Big Chicken may be a loss for the community, a new contender is set to enter the ring. Layne’s Chicken Fingers will be opening its first Lubbock location, and 50th overall, this Friday, June 13th, at 7902 University.
