The Louisville Zoo is launching a new expedition in 2027, offering travelers the chance to explore wildlife in Africa and Central America. Louisville Zoo Director Dan Maloney and the Zoo team will accompany travelers on the trips.
Costa Rica Trip
From April 6 to April 14, explorers can experience a destination animal showcase in Costa Rica for $4,795. The trip includes visits to Tortuguero National Park, the Arenal Volcano, and the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
South Africa Trip
From September 25 to October 7, safarigoers can adventure on land and sea in South Africa for $12,995. The trip will feature the ‘big five’ of the land and sea, including whales, sharks, penguins, lions, elephants, and rhinos.
Both trips will be accompanied by Louisville Zoo escorts for the duration of the trips. Costs cover travel expenses, including plane tickets, accommodations, and meals. Extended trips are also available for continued expedition and sightseeing.
