Louisville Ladder Recalls Over 1M Attic Stairway Ladders

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled an attic stairway made by Louisville Ladder for the risk of it breaking while in use, causing a person to fall. The official product name is Louisville Featherlite, Lite & Century Attic Stairway Ladders with gas struts.

Recall Details

Anyone with this product is advised to stop using it and register online to get a free repair kit. Consumers can register at Atticstairwayrecall.expertinquiry.com. The model was for sale between November 2012 and July 2026 at retailers such as Home Depot, Do It Best, Orgill, and online on Amazon.

There have been 11 reports of a bolt breaking on the ladder, with one report involving someone injuring their neck, head, and back.
