Post office locations throughout Louisiana will be closed on June 19 as the U.S. Postal Service observes the Juneteenth holiday. Regular mail delivery and standard retail operations are scheduled to resume on June 20.
Although physical retail counters will be unstaffed during the holiday, customers can still access various services online at usps.com or by utilizing self-service kiosks located in select post office lobbies. Many of these automated kiosks remain accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Available kiosk features include the ability to weigh packages, purchase traditional stamps, track shipments, and print postage for Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, and international shipping. The closures come as the postal service continues modernizing its retail footprint with expanded digital options.
