A 35-year-old cyclist, Connor Brogan, was hit by a driver in a dark green Jeep pickup truck while biking to work in Logan Square. The incident occurred on Armitage Avenue when the Jeep turned onto Kedzie Boulevard, according to police and surveillance video.
Recovery and Investigation
Brogan suffered bruising, road rash, and stitches to his leg but no broken bones or head trauma. He has been out of work for a week while recovering and does not have health insurance. Friends have started a GoFundMe fundraiser for his recovery, which has raised over $5,000 in less than a week.
The driver fled the scene, and Brogan wants to press charges if the driver is caught. Surveillance photos show the driver looking in the direction of Brogan as he was lying face-down on the street.
