A local England fan in Atlanta had a tough decision to make for the World Cup match against DR Congo. With over 30 jerseys to choose from, he had to narrow it down to just one.
The Decision Process
The fan, who has been collecting England jerseys since 1996, eliminated certain jerseys based on various criteria. He first eliminated t-shirts, practice kits, and special editions. He also eliminated jerseys that held bad memories, such as those worn in losses to Germany.
He then considered the color of the jersey, choosing between white and red. After researching, he found that England has a higher win rate when wearing red, with a 79% win rate compared to 75% in white.
In the end, he chose the Euro 2004 Beckham No. 7 shirt, which he felt was the perfect choice for the occasion. England went on to win the match 2-1, making the fan’s decision a good one.
