Fayetteville is kicking off its Fourth of July celebrations early this week with an Arkansas National Guard flyover, live music, and food tasting leading up to a fireworks show on Saturday.
America 250 Events
The celebrations begin on Thursday, July 2, with the Arkansas National Guard flyover in downtown Fayetteville around 1:30 p.m. The Gulley Park Summer Concert Series will follow from 7 to 9 p.m., featuring live music, food trucks, and Mayor Molly Rawn presenting Fayetteville’s America 250 proclamation.
On Friday, July 3, the Sound Bites event will take place at the Upper Ramble from 6 to 9 p.m., offering samples from over 20 Fayetteville restaurants. Tickets for the tasting are available for $55, and attendees can also enjoy free live music and food trucks.
The A250 Festivities & Firework Show will return to the Northwest Arkansas Mall on Saturday, July 4, for the first time in 11 years. The event will feature free food, local vendors, and kids’ activities from 5 to 8 p.m., followed by the fireworks show around 9 p.m.
Ryan Hauck, CEO of Experience Fayetteville, expects thousands of people to attend the week’s events, saying, ‘This is a national movement for a reason. America is a special place… Fayetteville is one of the coolest places in the country.’
