Las Vegas has been ranked the happiest destination in the US, beating Disneyland in a global study. According to Irish travel insurance company JustCover, Las Vegas earned a Happy Place Score of 88 out of 100, making it the fourth happiest destination in the world.
How the Happiness Was Measured
JustCover analyzed over one million online reviews from 155 destinations, tracking how often travelers used joy-coded words such as ‘amazing’, ‘celebrate’, and ‘bucket list’. Each city earned a Happy Place Score out of 100, with Las Vegas coming out on top in the US.
The study found that Las Vegas is the place people post from, brag from, celebrate from, and occasionally overshare from. If happiness is measured by how loudly you tell the internet you’re having a good time, then Las Vegas earns its place on the list.
