Las Vegas officials released a detailed schedule of road and transit adjustments that will take place between Nov. 9 and Nov. 23 while crews prepare the Las Vegas Strip Circuit for the 2026 Formula 1 Grand Prix. The timeline, posted by the race organizers, highlights overnight lane reductions, full closures of two pedestrian bridges and a 24‑hour shutdown of a portion of Koval Lane.
Overnight lane reductions on Sands Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard
From Nov. 9 through Nov. 15, Sands Avenue will operate with reduced lanes overnight. Between Las Vegas Boulevard and Manhattan Street, one lane in each direction will remain open from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday. Likewise, Las Vegas Boulevard will see lane reductions from Spring Mountain Road to Harmon Avenue from Nov. 9‑13. Those reductions run from midnight to noon, again leaving a single lane open in each direction.
Pedestrian bridge closures
Two major pedestrian bridges will be fully closed during the same period. The bridge linking the Bellagio to the Horseshoe and the bridge connecting the Harmon Shops to the Harmon SE Corner will be closed from midnight to 9 a.m. on Nov. 11‑13, with the schedule noting the closures under the heading “Nov. 12 – Nov. 14.”
Temporary gantry‑installation closures
Drivers should anticipate brief two‑lane closures at various points along the circuit as gantries are installed. From Nov. 10‑12, each closure is expected to last about 30 minutes. A longer shutdown is planned for Koval Lane: from Nov. 14‑23, the segment between Rochelle Avenue and Harmon Avenue will be closed 24 hours a day, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 14 and continuing through race weekend.
Transit impacts
The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) warned that several bus routes will experience temporary stop closures and delays. Along Koval Lane, seven Route 119 (Koval/Simmons) stops between Rochelle Avenue and Westchester Drive will remain closed 24/7 through Dec. 18. On Sands Avenue, stops 2505 (westbound) and 2504 (eastbound) will stay closed 24/7 through Nov. 25, as will stop 2572 (westbound) on Spring Mountain Road.
During the gantry‑installation window (Nov. 10‑12), two lanes will be closed for about 30 minutes at a time, and the Deuce and other Strip‑area routes may experience delays. RTC urges riders to allow extra travel time.
Race‑week service changes
From Nov. 17‑25, the Deuce and Routes 119 (Simmons/Koval), 202 (Flamingo) and 203 (Spring Mtn./Desert Inn/Lamb) will run on special Race‑Week routing and schedules. Updated timetables are available in the rideRTC app and the Transit app.
