Large Law Enforcement Presence in Erie Township After Pursuit

A pursuit that began with Rossford police resulted in a substantial law enforcement presence in Erie Township, Michigan, on Thursday morning. The incident unfolded near Erie Road and I-75 in Monroe County, drawing in multiple law enforcement agencies.

Agencies Involved

Crews from Michigan State Police, Toledo Police, Washington Township Police, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and Ohio State Highway Patrol were present at the scene as of 11 a.m. Perrysburg Township dispatchers confirmed that the pursuit initiated by Rossford police led to the incident. Perrysburg Township police were also assisting on the scene, with a K-9 unit observed by WTOL 11 crews.

Location and Response

The majority of the police activity was concentrated on Erie Road between Grodi and Baycreek. In addition to ground units, the Ohio State Highway Patrol deployed a plane, which was seen circling the area according to flight radar data. Despite the large response, further details from police were not available as of 11:25 a.m.
