The result was a thorough one for LAFC, who controlled the match from the opening whistle and never allowed the Galaxy a realistic path back into the contest. The Galaxy, despite holding 59.4 percent of the ball, were unable to convert their possession into any meaningful threat, managing just 10 shots on the night with only two finding the frame.
Leading the charge for LAFC was Son Heung-Min, who was the most dangerous attacker on the pitch.
