LA Metro Provides Free Rides for June Primary Election Day

In a bid to support civic engagement, LA Metro is offering free rides across its network on Tuesday, coinciding with the June primary election. This initiative aims to facilitate voter participation by providing free access to buses, rails, bicycles, and Metro Micro services. Voters will not need TAP or payment cards to access these services.

Additionally, LA Metro has partnered with the LA County Registrar-Recorder to place ballot drop boxes at 10 strategically located Metro stations, further easing the voting process for commuters. This collaboration underscores the importance of accessible voting options for all citizens.

Key Races in Southern California

Southern Californians face several important decisions in this primary election, with notable races including the Los Angeles mayoral contest and the gubernatorial race for California. These elections are pivotal as they set the stage for the upcoming November Midterm Election.

By offering free transit services and convenient ballot drop-off locations, LA Metro and local authorities are actively working to ensure that every eligible voter has the opportunity to participate in shaping the future of their community.
