A video showing a violent attack on a hot dog vendor outside a mall in downtown Los Angeles has sparked a police investigation. The incident occurred on June 15 and was captured on video, which has been circulating on social media.
The video shows a woman squirting what appears to be sauce onto hot dogs cooking on the vendor’s grill. The vendor then throws an orange-colored powder toward the woman, after which she grabs the vendor by the hair and takes her to the ground. Bystanders rush in to try to break up the fight.
According to witnesses, the vendor has not been back to work for the past few days. The vendor’s son said he was taking her to the hospital. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the case and looking for help identifying the woman seen attacking the vendor in the video.

Guadalupe Lara, who sells nearby, said she has experienced similar incidents, such as people knocking over her table and stealing some of her belongings. Brian Caphart, who sells clothing next to the vendor, said he rushed over as the attack unfolded and tried to keep the woman away from the vendor but couldn’t stop the attack.
