KRDO13 welcomes Tanner Buck as new multimedia journalist

KRDO13 is pleased to introduce Tanner Buck as the station’s newest multimedia journalist, a hire that strengthens the newsroom’s ability to cover local news, sports and community events for Colorado Springs residents.

Professional background

Buck’s passion for reporting began after he stopped playing football at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California. While still a student, he started conducting post‑game interviews with his team, discovering a love for storytelling and on‑air communication.

He later transferred to Arizona State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. While at the Cronkite News Bureau, Buck gained hands‑on experience as a sports reporter and weather person, honing the skills that will now serve KRDO13’s audience.

What he brings to KRDO13

In his new role, Buck will produce multimedia content across KRDO13’s digital platforms, including video packages, live streams and social‑media updates. His experience covering both sports and weather equips him to handle a wide range of stories, from high‑school athletics to breaking weather alerts that affect daily life in the Pikes Peak region.

“I’m excited to join KRDO13 and report on the issues that matter to our neighbors,” Buck said. “Colorado Springs has a vibrant community, and I look forward to telling its stories with accuracy and heart.”

KRDO13’s commitment to local coverage

KRDO13 continues to invest in local journalism, offering residents timely news, investigative reporting and community features. The station encourages listeners to stay informed by downloading the KRDO13 app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, which provides instant access to breaking news, weather updates and sports scores.

With Buck’s addition, KRDO13 aims to deepen its coverage of the Colorado Springs area, ensuring that the station remains a trusted source for the stories that shape everyday life.
