The New York Knicks have received and accepted an invitation to visit the White House to celebrate their NBA championship, owner James Dolan confirmed. The details of the Knicks’ visit have yet to be finalized, including a date for the trip, the size of the traveling party, and how many players will attend.
Seahawks Visit on Hold
A Seattle Seahawks visit to the White House, on the other hand, appears to be on the back burner months after the team won the Super Bowl. The White House press office told Fox News Digital that they don’t have anything to share at this time, and with the Seahawks’ offseason program over, it’s unclear if a visit will happen at all.
The next time the whole organization is expected to be together is the final week of July, just prior to the beginning of training camp. However, rallying players from all across the country and wherever they are vacationing is practically impossible, and no team is going to break away from training camp to fly across the country to visit the White House.
One possible opportunity for a Seahawks visit to the White House could be during the NFL regular season, when Seattle visits the Washington Commanders on September 27. However, it’s unlikely that the team would upset their normal travel schedule for a White House visit.
