Kimbell Art Museum Opens Call for Analog Photographers for Dec. 12 Showcase

FORT WORTH, Texas — The Kimbell Art Museum announced an open call for photographers who specialize in analog techniques. About the Kimbell

Owned and operated by the Kimbell Art Foundation, the museum is renowned for its world‑class collections ranging from antiquity to the twentieth century, including works by Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Monet, Picasso and Matisse, as well as significant Asian, African and American art. The original 1972 building, designed by Louis I. Kahn, is celebrated as a modern‑architectural masterpiece. A second building, designed by Renzo Piano and opened in 2013, houses special exhibitions, classrooms and a 289‑seat auditorium.

The analog photography showcase aligns with France’s bicentennial celebration of the invention of photography, highlighting the enduring relevance of traditional image‑making in a digital age.
