Kansas City professionals looking for a new career path may find success in the healthcare industry. Concorde Career College’s Kansas City Campus offers training programs for in-demand healthcare roles, including Radiologic Technologist and Surgical Technologist.
Healthcare Careers You Can Start Sooner Than You May Think
These programs can be completed in as little as 17-20 months and provide hands-on skills that are harder to automate than typical office jobs. According to Dr. Amanda Oppel, President of Concorde Career College–Kansas City, ‘Healthcare roles require hands-on skills that are in demand and cannot be easily automated.’
The Radiologic Technologist program prepares students to perform diagnostic imaging exams, such as X-rays, and work with physicians in hospitals, healthcare facilities, and imaging centers. The Surgical Technologist program trains students to assist medical professionals during surgeries and prepare operating rooms and equipment.
Both programs offer a promising job outlook, with nationwide employment of radiologic and MRI technologists projected to grow 5% from 2024 to 2034, and surgical technologists projected to grow faster than the average for all occupations.
Concorde Career College also offers funding options, including loans, grants, and other types of financial aid for those who qualify. The Healthcare Demand Grant and Previous Education Grant are available to new, enrolling students pursuing education in a healthcare program.
