Former Vice President Kamala Harris has endorsed Democratic Maine U.S. Senate candidate Troy Jackson. In a fundraising email, Harris expressed her support for Jackson, who was nominated by the Maine Democratic Party to replace Graham Platner.
Maine Senate Election
Harris noted that Jackson will have a short time frame of 101 days to campaign before the general election on November 3. Jackson is challenging long-serving incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins, who has been in office since 1997.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee criticized Harris’ endorsement, stating that she and Jackson are bonding over their shared experience of bypassing primary voters.
