A Fayetteville man, Kacey Jennings, was found guilty on all counts in the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Allison Castro, on Monday.
Guilty Verdicts
The jury returned guilty verdicts on charges of capital murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and theft of property. Prosecutors argued Jennings killed Castro in 2022, then took steps to conceal the crime.
During the trial, jurors reviewed photos of Castro’s injuries, heard testimony from investigators and witnesses, and watched a police interview with Jennings.
The penalty phase is set to continue with sentencing scheduled for 8:30 Tuesday morning.
