Loretta Giovannettone, the PGA Professional at Loblolly Golf Club in Hobe Sound, has qualified for the Women’s KPMG PGA Championship. She will be one of eight PGA Professionals competing in the championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota.
Background and Experience
Giovannettone previously qualified for the PGA Championship in 2023 at Baltusrol in New Jersey. As a teaching pro, she hasn’t played much tournament golf, but she is looking forward to the challenge. Giovannettone grew up playing golf since she was 6 years old and played on the high school boys team. She also started caddying before attending Methodist University.
Some of the club members will be cheering her on next week. A group of members in Minnesota will be hosting a party for Giovannettone and her caddie, who is also her college teammate and best friend. Giovannettone’s goal for the week is to have an incredible time, make the best memory with her caddie, and carry herself in a way that glorifies God.
