For the first time in its seven‑decade history in Tarrant County, Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail is spotlighting the region’s most promising young leaders through the new 18 Under 18 awards. The program, which recognizes students ages 13 to 18 who have already demonstrated measurable impact, is open for nominations now.
Why the awards matter
Junior Achievement has long equipped North Texas students with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in business, finance, and civic life. The 18 Under 18 initiative extends that mission by publicly honoring teens who are already shaping schools, neighborhoods, and local nonprofits. Honorees have been praised for developing peer‑to‑peer financial‑education tools, launching social‑enterprise projects, leading STEM clubs, and organizing volunteer efforts that address community needs.
Nomination process
Parents, teachers, community leaders, and the students themselves may submit nominations through the Junior Achievement website.
