The Jones Board of Trustees has removed Police Chief Bryan Farrington from his position following discussions held during an executive session, but city officials have not provided an explanation for the decision.
Concerned Residents Seek Answers
Jennifer Green, a concerned resident of Jones, voiced frustration over the lack of communication from city leaders. “There have been questions asked and, like, by people in our community, and they aren’t getting answers,” Green said.
In March, the city hired a private attorney to investigate the police department following an executive session. At the time, officials stated the matter was not about Farrington personally, but his name was later brought up again.
Farrington has referred all questions to his attorneys, and no further details have been provided. The city clerk said it was a personnel matter and declined to comment.
