Jackson Fall Arts Festival Offers Free Gallery Walks, Brunch and More

Jackson, WY – The beloved Fall Arts Festival kicks off its 42nd edition with a slate of free events designed to bring the community together around visual art, food and fellowship. While the festival also features ticketed programs for serious collectors, the free offerings give residents and visitors alike a chance to explore the town’s vibrant gallery scene without spending a dime.

Palates & Palettes – Friday, Sept. 11, 5‑8 p.m.

Selected local galleries will open their doors for a community‑wide art walk. Attendees can sample thoughtfully paired hors d’oeuvres, wines and craft beverages while strolling through the galleries that line Town Square. The Chamber of Commerce confirmed that most galleries around Town Square will participate, creating a festive atmosphere that celebrates one of Jackson Hole’s most cherished arts traditions.

Art Walk and Poster Signing – Wednesday, Sept. 16, 5‑8 p.m.

Gallery visitors can view new exhibitions and meet the artists behind this year’s QuickDraw program, a ticketed event that showcases emerging talent. In addition, guests can obtain an autographed poster commemorating the festival, providing a tangible reminder of the creative energy on display.

Art Auction – Saturday, Sept. 19, Noon

The festival’s public auction will take place at the Center for the Arts, where more than 350 pieces will be up for bid. Collectors and casual art lovers alike can watch bidders duke it out for works ranging from contemporary paintings to traditional Western prints. The auction offers a unique opportunity for the community to support local artists while potentially adding a new piece to a personal collection.

Sunday Art Brunch – Sunday, Sept. 20, 11 a.m.‑3 p.m.

To close the festival, downtown galleries will host a brunch featuring bites, Bloody Marys and mimosas. The relaxed setting encourages conversation about the artwork seen throughout the weekend and provides a final chance to mingle with artists, gallery owners and fellow art enthusiasts.

Not every gallery will participate in every event, so attendees are encouraged to consult the festival brochure for a map of participating locations. Whether you’re a seasoned collector, a casual admirer, or simply looking for a family‑friendly outing, the free events of the Fall Arts Festival offer something for everyone in Jackson.
