Patrick Johnson, founder of J Star Ministries, is on his way to Crystal City, Texas, to help residents affected by the recent floods. Johnson, an East Texas native, is bringing a trailer filled with essential items such as mops, brooms, buckets, cleaning supplies, water, Gatorade, and paper products.
Ministry’s Mission
Johnson’s mission is part of a life purpose he found 20 years ago through prayer. After serving in the military, Johnson transitioned into ministry to serve on the front lines of natural disasters. This trip to Crystal City is the latest in a long history of service, with Johnson having made over 80 relief trips in the past two decades.
Johnson specifically looks for rural areas that might be overlooked by larger relief organizations. He believes in serving these communities and being the ‘hands and feet of Jesus.’ Johnson’s drive to help was solidified years ago by a flood victim in Houston who remained joyful despite losing her home.
