Former Oklahoma City Thunder player Isaiah Joe hosted a golf tournament that raised over $300,000 to support pediatric heart programs at hospitals in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Local Impact
Half of the funds will go to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, while the other half will benefit OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. The donation will help fund their new 200,000-square-foot heart center and add more beds for patients.
Isaiah Joe shared that this mission is personal for him, as his brother was born with heart defects that required emergency treatment and surgeries, ultimately changing his life for the better.
“Organizations like the Isaiah Joe Family Foundation allow us to really pour into expanding how we show up for our kids today,” said Tracy Cothran, president of children’s services at the hospital.
