Inside the Biden Administration’s Border Child‑Trafficking Claims: A Former Contractor’s Warning

By OBBM Network Editorial Staff

Derived from an episode of Going Rogue With Lara Logan.

When I walked into the sprawling temporary shelter in San Diego, a whiteboard listed the names of 1,500 children slated for transfer. I was told I was there to rescue victims of a child‑trafficking ring. Within days, the reality felt like I was watching a reverse operation—children being moved from one holding site to another, their families unknown, their futures uncertain.

The Promise of a Mission That Never Materialized

The contractor, identified only as MVM, had been hired by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Biden administration to oversee the transport of unaccompanied minors. The guest explained that the administration had dismantled much of the vetting process that had been in place during the previous administration. DNA testing, thorough interrogations, and family verification were largely abandoned, leaving staff unable to confirm whether children truly belonged with their claimed sponsors.

According to the witness, “I was led to believe one thing where when I showed up, it was something completely different… I was told I was actually saving trafficked children.” The discrepancy between the stated goal and the on‑the‑ground reality set the tone for what he described as a “re‑trafficking” operation.

Conditions Inside the Facility

Children were confined indoors around the clock, sometimes for months, with no ability to leave the site. The witness, who previously worked as a child abuse investigator for Child Protective Services in Las Vegas, recognized classic signs of trafficking. He recounted hearing children plead with agents, “begging them not to hand them over,” and observed that many of the so‑called sponsors were the very smugglers who had brought the minors across the border.

He estimated that “70% of the cases… were trafficking,” noting that the same individuals who smuggled children often posed as sponsors. In one striking example, a Senate committee traced over 600 children to a single address in Houston, a city known for cartel activity, suggesting a coordinated network exploiting the system.

Contractor Oversight and a Culture of Silence

MVM’s site supervisors included former agents from the DEA and the Department of State, yet the guest said their concerns were routinely dismissed. When he raised questions about the lack of vetting and the children’s treatment, he was told to “be quiet and do my job.” Eventually, he was reassigned from a supervisory role to a logistics position, effectively removing his ability to question the operation.

He also disclosed that all personnel were required to sign nondisclosure agreements (NDAs). “They made everybody sign NDAs,” he said, emphasizing that the administration deliberately kept the details hidden from the public, even though daily counts were posted on a whiteboard for staff.

Broader Implications for Federal Oversight

The testimony aligns with broader concerns about the Biden administration’s handling of unaccompanied minors. By fragmenting responsibilities among Border Patrol, the National Guard, and private contractors, the administration created gaps that, according to the witness, allowed trafficking to continue unchecked. The lack of a unified vetting protocol not only jeopardized the safety of vulnerable children but also exposed taxpayers to potential fraud, as highlighted by a Government Accountability Office report estimating $186 billion in improper federal payments in 2025 alone.

While the guest’s account is a single perspective, it underscores the need for transparent oversight of private contractors tasked with humanitarian missions. The allegations suggest that without robust verification and accountability, well‑intentioned programs can be co‑opted by criminal networks.

What Comes Next?

Calls for independent investigations are growing, with some lawmakers demanding a review of the contracts awarded to companies like MVM and a reinstatement of rigorous vetting procedures. The guest expressed a personal commitment to assist any agency willing to examine the evidence, stating, “I’m doing my part now with whatever agency sees this interview… if they need help with me.”

As the nation grapples with a surge of unaccompanied minors at the border, the story serves as a stark reminder that policy implementation must match the moral imperatives it claims to uphold. Ensuring the safety of children requires not only compassionate intent but also transparent, accountable action.
