Training and Preparation

Hill has already begun training for the 2028 Paralympics and is confident about his chances. "Excited does not sum it up accurately," Hill said. "I'm just beneath over the moon." He also mentioned that he is looking forward to filling the stadium with people he knows personally.

Hill has a strong track record in para swimming, having won a bronze medal for Team USA in Paris and placing second in the 100m freestyle at the 2019 World Para Swimming World Series. He has also won first place at the 2018 U.S. Paralympics Swimming Para National Championships in the 100m freestyle and 50m freestyle events.

Para Swimming and the 2028 Paralympics

The 2028 Paralympics will feature a total of 560 medal events, including para swimming, para table tennis, and para triathlon. The competition will take place from August 15 to August 27, 2028, at various venues in Southern California, including the Long Beach Aquatic Center.

Hill is not only focused on his own training but also on giving back to his community. He founded the Swim Uphill foundation, which aims to teach 1 million people to swim. "Swimming is the only sport that without a doubt can save someone's life," Hill said. "It's also one of the greatest education gaps when it comes to low-income communities."
