Connor Murphy, a 32-year-old fitness influencer, was found dead in Thailand after drowning in a lake. Murphy, who had over 2.7 million followers across YouTube and Instagram, was known for his bodybuilding and fitness content.
Investigation Ongoing
The investigation into Murphy’s death is ongoing, with police in Samut Prakan province, about 16 miles south of Bangkok, looking into the circumstances surrounding his drowning. A staff member at the residential village where Murphy was staying recorded video of him before he went into the lake, according to reports.
Murphy’s girlfriend, Bee, told police that the damage to their rental property appeared to have happened overnight while she was asleep in another room. The property, a luxury villa, was found to be in a state of disarray, with a black tar-like substance splattered across appliances and overflowing piles of trash.
Murphy’s social media pages appear to have last been updated on July 3, when he posted a video of himself kicking around a soccer ball inside a luxury home. His last YouTube post was six days before his death, according to reports.
