The 2026 Indiana State Fair, set to open on August 7, will showcase a range of new attractions and exhibits that are sure to delight visitors of all ages. The fair, which runs through August 23 and is closed on Mondays, celebrates Indiana’s baseball tradition in partnership with the Indianapolis Indians.
New Attractions and Exhibits
One of the highlights of the fair is the world-renowned traveling exhibit, REWIND, which takes guests back to the video store era with iconic movie poster art, a baseball movie theater, the Moulin Rouge Speakeasy, an Indianapolis Indians gift shop, and the returning Indy CD & Vinyl pop-up. Admission to REWIND is free with paid fair admission.
Another new attraction is a narrated ride along the north side of the Fairgrounds, which highlights the sights and history of the Indiana State Fair. Tickets for the ride are $5 per person.
The fair will also feature an interactive wiffle ball field, named after longtime Indianapolis Indians executive Max Schumacher, which offers free play, tournaments, and celebrity player appearances. Additionally, an all-new lineup of acrobatics and comedy will perform in an air-conditioned tent, with free 45-minute shows three times daily and premium seating upgrades available.
Other new offerings include tortoise feedings, calf cuddling, breakdancers, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile on August 15-16, reality TV guest appearances on August 22, a youth Mullet Competition, and nearly 50 new food items.
According to LeRoy Lewis III, Director of Community and Media Engagement for the Indiana State Fair, ‘The Indiana State Fair has always been a place where generations come together to make memories. This year we’re adding even more reasons not to miss out.’
