Idaho State Police have released the identity of the off-duty officer who helped stop the shooter at the Twin Falls In-N-Out restaurant in early August. Specialist Steve McClain, a member of the Twin Falls community and the ISP Commercial Vehicle Safety Program, was inside the restaurant when the shooting happened.

McClain can be seen in security camera videos helping to clear the kitchen and drive-thru window area. The Idaho State Police shared the videos in a press conference last week, with a warning to use discretion when viewing due to the depiction of the incident where lives were lost.
McClain shared a statement through the Idaho State Police news release, asking the community to focus on helping the victims and the Twin Falls community. Vigils have been held in Twin Falls to comfort victims and unite the community, and various fundraisers have been established to support those affected.
