I 80 Overnight Closures In Des Moines Metro

The Iowa Department of Transportation is planning overnight closures on Interstate 80 in the Des Moines metro area this week for late-night construction work. Westbound lanes will be closed from the Southwest Mixmaster in West Des Moines to Grand Prairie Parkway in Waukee.

Construction Details

The closures will take place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, starting at 8:30 p.m. each night and ending by 5 a.m. the following morning. The DOT said crews will be setting bridge beams and removing signs on trusses as part of the I-80 widening project.
