Holtec Nuclear Corporation, an energy company, has filed for an initial public offering in the United States.
Company Plans
The company plans to build small modular reactors (SMRs), which are touted as being more cost-effective and quicker to deploy than full-sized models. These SMRs are aimed at replacing coal-fired plants and providing more localized energy needs.
J.P. Morgan, Guggenheim Securities, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup are among the underwriters for the offering. Holtec intends to list its shares on Nasdaq and Nasdaq Texas under the symbol “HNUC”.
