Hixon Mortgage Summer Festival to Kick Off in Downtown Bend This May

The vibrant community of Bend, Oregon, is gearing up for the Hixon Mortgage Summer Festival, set to take place from Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31, 2026. This beloved annual festival, now sponsored by Hixon Mortgage, will transform downtown Bend into a lively hub of art, music, and family-friendly activities.

Festival Highlights

This year marks a significant change as the festival moves to late May, aiming to take advantage of the pleasant early-summer weather. Hixon Mortgage, a locally owned company dedicated to helping families achieve homeownership, steps in as the new title sponsor, bringing a fresh energy to the event.

The festival kicks off on Friday evening with music and food along Oregon Avenue from 4 to 10 p.m. The festivities continue throughout the weekend, with full programming on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees can look forward to a diverse array of fine art, handmade goods, local shopping, live music, and pop-up performances.

Community and Family Focus

With more than 80 regional and national artisans showcasing their work along Bond Street, the festival offers something for everyone. Additional vendor areas will feature clothing, jewelry, specialty foods, wine, and products from Central Oregon businesses, making it a perfect outing for families and community members.

Derek Meyer, president of Hixon Mortgage, expressed his excitement about the sponsorship, stating, “Hixon Mortgage is fired up to be part of Summerfest and celebrate what makes our community so special!” The festival is supported by a wide range of local and regional sponsors, highlighting the strong community spirit in Bend.
