Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a death in Wimauma after a person was found deceased on Friday evening.
The incident began at 6:18 p.m. on June 26, 2026, when the agency’s 911 dispatch center received a call about a person down in the 16000 block of Delia Street.
Upon arriving at the location, deputies located the individual, who was already deceased and beyond help.
Investigators have not released the identity of the person or a potential cause of death. The Sheriff’s Office stated that this remains an active investigation, and detectives are continuing to gather evidence at the scene.
